About Pluto's Revenge

Noreen is the baker behind Pluto's Revenge.  She is an elementary teacher and mother who loves to bake for family and friends.  After many years creating treats that are both delicious and aesthetically pleasing, she is bringing her desserts to a wider audience with monthly baking dates and custom orders.

Poor Pluto

In 1930, Pluto was added as our solar system's ninth planet. Schoolchildren memorized its name and it was an essential part of everyday science knowledge.  But in 2005, Eris - about the same size as Pluto - was discovered in the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune. The next year, the International Astronomical Union decided that a new classification was needed to describe these objects that were different than the known planets but more developed than asteroids. Pluto was demoted from planet to dwarf planet, where it was joined by Eris and the asteroid Ceres.  Now schoolchildren are taught that there are eight planets.  Poor Pluto.  But its honor lives on through Pluto's Revenge, where things small and fantastic are revered in spite of their diminutive stature!
